The Hassan Hathout Spiritual Care Full Tuition Scholarship is an honor bestowed upon a deserving and highly qualified full-time graduate student entering in Bayan Claremont’s 72-unit Master of Divinity in Islamic Chaplaincy program.
The scholarship is named after the late Dr. Hassan Hathout, a pioneering Los Angeles-based physician, ethicist, and Islamic leader who contributed to the development of the Muslim American community over the course of three decades. His unique emphasis on human dignity, ethics, peacemaking, harmony, and love are characteristics Bayan seeks to inculcate in its student body, and especially among those intending to dedicate their lives to the calling of chaplaincy and spiritual care. This award is given in partnership with the Hassan Hathout Legacy Foundation (HHLF).
